Epiphany onE Puck

Wel all love drinking beer.  It smells and tastes great.  It gives us a nice bit of warmth from the alcohol doing it’s thing.  Now what if your beer could bring additional benefits?  Sure it makes you more attractive to the opposite sex, right?  But what about something else?  How about charging your phone?  The Epiphany onE Puck allows your cold beverage to charge your phone or other USB device using a Stirling engine principal to generate power.

First invented in 1816, a Stirling engine uses compression and expansion of hot or cold air to drive a piston.  This is then used to generate electricity for your cell phone or other device.  Pretty cool huh?  All you have to do is plugin your device to the USB port on the onE Puck and place a cold beer or hot drink on the onE Puck and you’re set.  The internal Stirling engine does it’s thing and starts charging your device while you drink.  When a good cold or hot beverage is placed it, charging should take place at the same rate that it would on any other charger.  Just think of all the money you can save on electricity by drinking cold beers instead!

There are plenty of cool chargers out there but this one can do it using something you already do, drink beer while you wait for your phone to charge.  You can tell your significant other that you have to charge your phone quick before going out.  Still not enough of a charge?  Better have another craftbeer and give it some more juice.  Then in the morning after staying up charging your phone all night, flip the onE Puck over to the red side and charge it with a cup of coffee while you shake that hangover.  Brilliant.  You can get your own Epiphany onE Puck by heading over to their Kickstarter page and helping them fund their project.  Drinking beer is a great new way to get a charge.  Checkout the Epiphany onE Puck Kickstarter page here.
